Element: Blogs (what is a blog?)

So, here’s the scenario.  You’ve recently brought your business into the digital world.  You have your website – tick!  And you’ve read about blogs, twitter, facebook, youtube… set up a handful of accounts – tick!  And it all seems very fun until a week later, you’re unsure what on earth you’re supposed to do or even if you have time for it…

What went wrong?

Well, often its because you’ve read the hype about social media, jumped straight into it head first and haven’t really thought about a plan. Or why they’re even doing it – that is, besides, “because everyone else is”.

So, rule number one – before you’ve even created an account! – is: why do you want a blog?  What is it’s purpose?  What would you like it to achieve?

I promise you, the best blogs – the ones that everyone talks about – didn’t become that way by accident!

Whether its B2B, B2C or personal blogging, have a reason beyond conformity as a foundation to any blog you create; it will help you find content and may even make your life on other social media platforms a lot easier too!
